Teaching is a well-respected job in Nepal. The people believe that knowledge is something that cannot be bought. Since knowledge cannot be traded for money, being a teacher is seen to be a work of respect and independence.
There is a high demand for English teachers in the country. English has recently become a second language in Nepal, and its younger generation are hoping to succeed in international competition in the future.
You will find that teaching English can have a broader demand, not only in schools. Business English is also sought after. Businesses are always looking for fluent English speakers with accents to teach their employees. These jobs are well paid.
