Top 5 Southeast Asia Travel Blogs

Southeast Asia has long been a popular destination for EFL teachers – there are a huge amount of opportunities to teach English in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and more. One of the great things about teaching in any of these countries is how easy it is to travel and explore other countries in the region during your time off from teaching!

With so much to see and do where do you even start? One thing you should be doing is reading travel blogs. Travel blogs can be a great way to help you plan a trip, discover hidden gems, and gain real insight from someone who’s been there and done it!

And with that said, here are five travel blogs we recommend checking out if you’re considering a Southeast Asia TEFL adventure!

So the Adventure Begins

We love So the Adventure Begins – and not just because it’s penned by one of our graduates! It’s well-written, insightful, and features some great photos. Frances left Scotland for Vietnam in August 2016 and up until March 2018 was working as an English teacher. She’s left that behind for the time being to travel full-time, which means her blog is definitely one to watch! If you’re interested in TEFL in Vietnam then Frances’ blog is a must-read, offering advice on how to find work, get a work permit, and lots of tips and ideas for things to do while you’re there.
