TEFL Org UK’s 9th Birthday

Today we’re celebrating TEFL Org UK’s 9th birthday, and we’re honoured to be reaching this amazing milestone.

Back when we started in 2008, the office was run from a garden shed in the local town of Beauly.  From there we moved to Dingwall, and now to our home in the beautiful city of Inverness – taking big business steps along the way.

Starting with online courses, we soon expanded to include classroom courses throughout Scotland, then England, Wales and Ireland too.  We’ve also went into partnership in China with 21st Century English, part of the China Daily group, to produce courses, events and books for their emerging markets.

Now we’re an international company, running courses across the British Isles, Spain and the United States, and training thousands of students per year – and we’re thrilled to see what’s still ahead of us.

“It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in 9 years. With 28% growth in our last financial year, our aim is to continue to grow at scale and prove that sustainable, viable tech-based businesses can be built in any part of the UK.

“Looking ahead to our 10th year of operations, we aim to continue our commitment to provide the best TEFL courses and excellent customer service so all of our students. Having completely refreshed, updated and relaunched our whole suite of courses in 2017 to incorporate the latest in English Language Teaching methodology and with innovative new courses looking at possibly the future of language learning, online teaching, we are always looking forwards and to provide the best training for our students.”

It’s already looking like an exciting 10th year of business to come as well, with the launch of our new Business English and Young Learners advanced courses in the next few months and our first US classroom courses in Boston, Los Angeles and New York in January.

We’re taking the chance to celebrate as well, as the office will be closed from 4.30pm as we visit the local go-kart track for a spot of friendly competition.

Thanks to everyone who’s helped make TEFL Org UK what it is today, and to our customers who inspire us every day to keep on succeeding.
