The Trust would provide accommodation with Western-style bathroom, homely meals, drinking water and the visa invitation, offering an excellent opportunity to experience India without incurring large costs. You will also get collected at local airport. Broadband internet and phone are available on a paid basis.
What do these TEFL positions in Tamil Nadu entail?
In these TEFL volunteering positions, you would be based at a Spoken English Centre run by a charitable trust in Tuticorn, a small town in Tamil Nadu. The Centre has successfully hosted many foreign volunteers in the past, enabling them to gain a practical knowledge of Indian education and culture. The students with whom you would be working are aged mostly 10-23, with some adults in work and housewives also attending classes. Class hours would be between 9.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, allowing you to spend your weekends travelling and experiencing the local area and beyond.
